CAMPUS AND CITY LIAISONS

Campus Liaison and City Liaison are opportunities to expand our BPIA community engagement among BPIA members globally to serve as local representatives to BPIA. In this volunteer role, a Liaison serves as a point person on campus or in a city and can support member meet-ups (virtual; in-person pending); local events; and more by submitting proposed events to the BPIA board. The Liaison role is a one-year commitment.

Campus and city liaisons should have a standing meeting at least once per month, or more if needed. The purpose of a monthly standing meeting is to allow members to report opportunities or lines of effort and engage in conversations relevant to the field. It also streamlines the process for new members to join and participate throughout the year.

Examples of Liaison Activities

  • Hosting a local (in-person or virtual) BPIA members network Happy Hour Meetup

  • Organizing a panel or discussion at a local agency or organization

  • Host student discussions on international affairs

  • Invite a BPIA member to speak to students (virtual; in-person pending)
